FutureSake

Towards a sustainable urban future, championed by Gen-Z

Explore courses
Our cities were built for the industrial revolution. Several of today’s problems stem from this simple fact. From our transportation systems to education, we have been building atop a foundation that has long outlived its purpose. Unconstrained human actions and a fix-it-as-we-go approach have brought us to a world where we consume far more than we produce. The structural changes required to create a sustainable world demand not just innovation but radical new thought and the will to act.

The youth of today continue to voice their strong commitment to creating a world that supports all forms of life. It is our responsibility to create an enabling environment for them. We believe that Cities can be a canvas for them to build on!

FutureSake takes students behind the scenes and shows them what running a modern city is like. Participants get an unfiltered look at the systems, processes and societal structures that determine life in a city as seen from the point of view of engineers, entrepreneurs, law makers and more. This juxtaposition of the past, present and future of cities gives them a springboard to launch their thoughts and ideas to imagine their own solutions to create sustainable cities.

"A crucial thing I learned, which is a lesson for life for me, is that though analysing problems is important, it's more important to look for solutions. This kind of experience was my first and possibly the last time, and I've got the most precious memories to carry for a lifetime."

"FutureSake made me understand how I can save resources and contribute to the environment. We could make connections between what we study at school and the learnings that we took back from Singapore. Worldview made me realize I don't need to be an adult to make a change in the world."
