About the Panel:

Rashmi Anand, Senior Admissions Advisor, Emory University

A graduate of Emory University, Rashmi Anand serves as one of the university's Senior Admission Advisors, overseeing large-scale campus (now virtual!) events for prospective and admitted families. She currently manages international recruitment for students in South & Central Asia, as well as some local, Atlanta-area students. More recently, Rashmi completed her MBA from Emory's Goizueta Business School in May 2020.

Brandon Mack, Associate Director of Admission, Rice University

Brandon Mack is the Associate Director of Admission & Coordinator of Transfer Admission at Rice University. He has been with the Office of Admission since 2009. Mack works specifically on international recruitment in Africa, domestic recruitment strategies, and building counselor relationships. He has also worked on minority recruitment initiatives, community based organization partnerships, and community outreach efforts to educate students on highly selective college admissions. He also oversees and manages the transfer admission process and is the liaison to the Rice School of Architecture.

Mack graduated from Rice University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology & Political Science. In 2013, Mack earned a Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration & Supervision from the University of Houston. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies at the University of Houston.

Sayaka Smith, Assistant Director of Admissions, Tufts University

Sayaka Smith is an assistant director of admissions at Tufts University, where she has worked since January 2016 with both domestic and international students. She has always had a passion for international education and upon moving to the United States in 2016 she found a way to help other young people explore the benefits of an interdisciplinary education with a global focus through her work in admissions at Tufts University. India is one of her recruitment territories at Tufts.
